Here is an interview with Constance McMillen. This is the teen who attempted to date a female date with her to prom. As a result, the prom was canceled!

Box of Shadows

Here is a random movie trailer I came across. Apparently, this film hit theatres last month...but I do not remember hearing about it. Rumor is, it has a July DVD release. The film stars Aaron Eisenberg (Gossip Girl) and Jared Grey (The Art of Being Straight). It is about a group of guys who acquire a machine that causes them to temporarily die so they can experience life after death. It is all fun and games until they basically piss of Death. He, of course, comes for them...antics ensue!

Spring Awakening Creation

This is a piece of a documentary, in which the creators of the Broadway hit Spring Awakening talk about their journey creating the show. Not only are the interviews great, but they use clips from the original cast to show scenes. Enjoy!

Love Never Dies

The rumors are true. Andrew Lloyd Webber has completed his sequel to The Phantom of the Opera. It is titled Love Never Dies. It has opened already in London. It is being planned for a Broadway release here in the states. There are mixed reviews about it. It has been drawing a crowd, but most critics are shooting it down. I have heard a couple of the songs. The do sound nice, but when compared to Phantom it would take more than good songs to carry the show. Here are interviews with the two leads of the show. Also, they have released music videos of some of theirs songs. Enjoy!

Descendents

This is an interesting item. This is a short animated film starring Whoppi Goldberg and Christy Scott Cashman. It is about two flowers. One dreams of leaving her bed, while her "friend" tries to convince her the dangers of doing so. Whoppi is such creepy and scary in this. Enjoy!

Do You Think You Know Sarah Jessica Parker?

So this was just funny to me. There is a show on NBC called Who Do You Think You Are? The show is about the genealogy of several celebrities. There is heavy research done to discover the history of their family. This particular episode is about Sarah Jessica Parker. Why is this funny? Because of what they discovered! Her family line is connected to the Salem Witch Trials...of course my first thought was Hocus Pocus...yeah i think you can see where it is gonna go from there....giggle

Mad About Barbie

OK, so here is something less known about me. I like to collect controversal barbies. Such as the Ken doll that was wearing a cockring, the pregnant barbie, and barbie with tattoos, the witch barbie...etc. Gratned sometimes they are hard to hunt down, because they tend to get pulled from shelves. Well it have been announced that Mattel is releasing a new series of dolls...They are based on the cast of Mad Men. I must have these for my collections...why? Two of the characters represent out of wedlock relationships...ohhh! They need a Salvatore Romano doll...that would just rock!

My Big Gay Italian Wedding

Reichen Lehmkuhl (Dante's Cove) has been in cast in the off-Broadway show My Big Gay Italian Wedding. The show is set to open on May 5th. Lehmkuhl gain notice when he won The Amazing Race. He was also dating Lance Bass at one point.

Via The Big Gay Italian Wedding Website
Anthony Pinnunziato is a Romantic who wants to celebrate his love with whole world. Or at least most of Brooklyn.

Anthony Pinnunziato is Italian so he wants his wedding ceremony to be filled an abundance of food, fanfare, food, music, and food.

The problem??

Anthony Pinnunziato is Gay! and while he insists on a big, traditional Italian wedding, his overbearing momma has a few stipulations of her own.

Add to the mix bickering relatives, a crazed wedding coordinator, and a jealous ex-boyfriend who wants nothing more than to ruin the whole thing, and you've got one hell of a party!

Corey Feldman on The Loss of Corey Haim

Two things to post here. The first comes from Corey Feldman's blog, where he speaks of learning of his friend's death. The second is a clip of his interview with Larry King.

Via Corey Feldman Blog

"I was awakened at 8:30 this morning by my brother and sister knocking on my bedroom door. They informed me of the loss of my brother Corey Haim. My eyes weren’t even open all the way when the tears started streaming down my face. I am so sorry for Corey, his mother Judy, his family, my family, all of our fans, and of course my son who I will have to find a way to explain this to when he gets home from school. This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family, and best friend. We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference. Please respect our families as we struggle and grieve through this difficult time. I hope the art Corey has left behind will be remembered as the passion of that for which he truly lived. ~ Corey"

Eclipse Trailer

Because 10 seconds just wasn't enough...here is the full trailer. So as I am watching it, two things occurred to me. First, wouldn't it be funny if the filmmakers decided to throw a twist in the story. What kind of twist? How about her choosing Jacob over Edward. I am not saying I am Team Jacob, but it would just be fun to be in the theater when it happens. Then to watch the blogsphere explode with fans freaking out...whose with me!?! *giggle* OK the second one, is more creepy. Who here finds Jacob's line, "I will fight for you, until your heart stops beating" a little creepy. I have this image of Bella's dead body and Jacob looking at her body and going...eh!

Alice & Disney Adventures

I know this post is a few days late, but I took a crap load of pictures. It takes a while to go through them all. Then I have to clean them up and pick the ones I want to use. So last weekend, my friends and I took off to Irvine to see the Alice in Wonderland in IMAX. Let me just say, I had fun...it was quite the entertaining movie. I will admit the beginning was extremely slow, but once she met up with the Hatter, the story's pace finally picked up.

The next day we went to Disneyland. Now, we were in debate all the way till we left that morning about making it there. After all, we knew a big storm was coming, but it wasn't so icky that morning. So we went.

We were sadden to discover that the Matterhorn and the Rivers of America were shut down for renovations. Let me just say...after all these years of going to Disneyland, I have never once seen the Rivers of America empty of water. It was so bizarre.

One of my friends that went with us, had never been to Disneyland so it was all about him that day. It was quite cute seeing how exciting he was as we got closer and closer. Because of the fear of rain, there weren't too many people so we got to get through the lines pretty fast.

One of the more exciting moments was when we went on Space Mountain. The ride was a blast, I managed to pose just in time for the photo. But then...it happened...the ride stopped and they announced over the intercom for us to remain in vehicle and not to remove our seat belts...we were totally waiting for another coaster to smack us from behind. Then the freakiest thing ever happened. They turned on the lights...let me just say, Space Mountain in normal lights...not so pretty...but cool to see once in a lifetime.

Of course, since Captain Eo recently reopened we did go see it. Ahhh that brought back memories, particularly the hair styles...I was all about the 80s hair. Yes, I do miss 80s hair...don't judge me! All in all, it was a great weekend, we didn't stay as late as we had intended because in the late afternoon the storm finally hit. We thought about sticking it out...but we hit all the rides we wanted and it wasn't worth trying to do more and run around soaked.

Looking forward to my next trip back.

Billy Dortch

Today I present Billy Dortch. He is featured in this month's Rage Magazine. Originally from Northern California and now living in Los Angeles. His interest in performing began at a young age. He started in ballet and tap. Then as he got older be began to perform in his school's theatre. Up to that point, he had not sang, though he did play the piano. It wasn't until later that he began to realize his talent as a singer. He came out at the age of 17, though he feels his orientation should be a non-issue when it comes to his music. I am posting his first music video from his upcoming album. Enjoy!

Corey Haim Has Left Us

It is sad to say the Corey Haim died this morning from a drug overdose. He had been living with his mother in North Hollywood. She called the police after he collapsed in front her. Haim had been battling a prescription drug addiction for quite some time. Haim became famous in the 80s with a series of movies. He was also one half of the Coreys...the other being Corey Feldman. They were two of my favorite actors from back in the day, and it is sad to see his life come to such a tragic end. He shall be greatly missed. I am including two videos today. The first is a video taken by TMZ about three weeks ago. The second is a trailer for the horror film that Haim had been recently promoting.

Red

Oh happy day! Felicia Day rocks! SyFy has announced a new film next year titled Red. It is a modern version of Little Red Ridding Hood. Felicia Day has been cast in the lead role. This is awesome. SyFy has been turning classic stories into modern tale fairy tales for awhile now. So this is something I am looking forward to.

From what has been released so far, Day's character is the descendant of Little Red. The family has a tradition of hunting werewolves. That is until her boyfriend is bitten and becomes a werewolf. Her family then attempts to kill him, while she tries to protect him.

Roy Ashburn Comes Out

So there has been a lot of developments with the Ashburn story. He has publicly come out. He says that the reason for his anti-gay voting record is because he is voting for his constituents and not voting his personal beliefs. Take that however you wish. Normally I would celebrate someone coming out...but not this time. He was in a position to do good for people, but choose to ignore who he was. He choose his career over his conscience.

Jim Henson

This is exciting. Disney is working on a film about Jim Henson. I am really hoping they do it in the style of The Dream of OZ. For those unfamiliar with that, it as TV movie about L Frank Baum. It starred John Ritter as the title character. It told his life story through fantasy sequences with his OZ characters. I am really hoping they put a lot of work and effort into this film. Henson is one of my heroes and I have always loved and respected his work.

Here are some clips from the early days of The Muppet Show.

Vampire Weekend on SNL

Academy Awards 2010

First, let me state, that I did not watch the Oscars. I have my own personal reasons for it. But that doesn't mean I do not know what is going on with it. It was quite funny watching my twitter get slammed with tweets during the show. My favorite had to do with Jane Fonda commenting on the woman chewing gum in the audience. That just made me giggle. So why write a blog about something I did not watch...well apparently, there were things they did not show.

The memorial shown during the show missed important things. Now, odd and crazy as it sounds, that is one of the part I want to see. It is sad to see all the talent that has been lost, but I think it is a great way to remember them. So I was somewhat annoyed when my twitter was filled with people talking about how Farrah Fawcett and Bea Arthur were not shown. Two incredible woman who have been a part of the industry for quite sometime. Though, I probably will get slammed for this, I really don't think it was appropriate for Michael Jackson to be included. Let's be honest about this, he is a great musician...but for him to be part of something meant to honor lost actors...when two huge names were not included is horrible.

Now as for the awards given. I liked Avatar it was a great film, and was visually stunning. I think it definitely deserved to win technical awards. I am also happy that it did not win best picture. Personally, I think that each award show is very specific about what they are honoring. Where Avatar did make lots of money and was enjoyable, I just do not feel it is Oscar Best Picture worthy. The Hurt Locker is the type of film that normally would win that category.

I am sure most people have already seen the winner list, but here it is in case you missed it.
