Once Upon A Time

I have to say ABC's new show Once Upon A Time has captured me. I am enjoying how we get to not only see what is happening after the curse, but we learn about the characters from before the curse. The style, of course, isn't new. This is the same way LOST was told, which was one of the things that made me love LOST.

More after Jump

Josh Dallas (Thor) who plays Prince Charming recently spoke with After Elton about doing the show and what we can expect to see. He also discusses how much he enjoys twitter, and the immediate response he sees on it from the fans. Towards the end of the interview he hints at the possibility of seeing gay characters on the show.

It has been announced that they have cast Sage Brocklebank (Psych) to play Gaston. Now, I will admit this is the one thing that I do not like about the show. I know it is by ABC which is basically Disney. But I do not like the fact that they are using the Disney characters for their fairy tale character names. I first noticed this when Regina (as the evil queen) went to meet with Maleficent to acquire the curse. The name of the villain from Disney's Sleeping Beauty. I just hope that they don't let the Disney stories overshadow what could become quite an incredible show.

So far, during the course of the show, we have learned about the origins of Cinderella, Jiminy Cricket, Snow White, Prince Charming, and what the Queen sacrificed to place the curse. Next week's episode we learn about the town's sheriff and who he was.
